NATIONAL SYMBOLS OF INDIA

         This section introduces you to the National Identity Elements of India. These symbols are intrinsic to the Indian identity and heritage. Indians of all demographics backgrounds across the world are proud of these National Symbols as they infuse a sense of pride and patriotism in every Indian's heart.

               There are 17 national symbols of India namely Tiranga, Jana Gana Mana, Saka Calendar, Vande Mataram, National Emblem of India, Mango, Ganga, Royal Bengal Tiger, Indian Banyan, Ganges River Dolphin, Indian Peacock, Indian Rupee, King Cobra, Indian Elephant, Lotus, Pumpkin and National Pledge.

Bharat BillPay onboards SBI Card for Bill Payments

All SBI cards customers will be able to pay and manage their credit card bill payments across all Bharat BillPay supported payment channels like online via banks, payment apps or even via any Bharat BillPay physical outlets.

Bharat BillPay, a subsidiary of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) onboarded SBI Card, to simplify and manage the way credit card bills are paid.

All SBI cards customers will be able to pay and manage their credit card bill payments across all Bharat BillPay supported payment channels like online via banks, payment apps or even via any Bharat BillPay physical outlets.

“At SBI Card, we are committed to making life simple for our customers. This integration is one such effort in this direction as we deliver them greater convenience and flexibility, leading to a seamless experience”, said Abhijit Chakravorty, MD & CEO, SBI Card.

 EASTERN GHATS

The Eastern Ghats are a discontinuous range of mountains along India's eastern coast.

• ·         The Eastern Ghats pass through Odisha, Andhra Pradesh to Tamil Nadu in the south passing some parts of Karnataka as well as Telangana.
• ·         They are eroded and cut through by four major rivers of peninsular India, viz., Mahanadi, Godavari, Krishna, and Kaveri.
• ·         The Eastern Ghats are a collection of irregularly shaped low ranges that typically run parallel to the Bay of Bengal’s shoreline from northeast to southwest.
• ·         With the isolated hill ranges lining the eastern edge of the Deccan plateau and coastal plain, they are “tors” of geological antiquity.
• ·         A tor which is also known by geomorphologists as either a castle koppie or kopje, is a large, free-standing rock outcrop that rises abruptly from the surrounding smooth and gentle slopes of a rounded hill summit or ridge crest.
